Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs a Route Sales Representative, you will be in charge of all daily aspects of the order fulfillment requirements for this north Texas-based direct farm to consumer meat business. Driving the Born & Raised delivery truck, on a pre-established route, you will be the face of Born & Raised to our customers. Born & Raised was founded on the belief that consumers should eat locally raised meats that have lived a healthy and free life. Our loyal customers are like family, we build relationships based on quality and trust, and in return they welcome us at their homes and into their lives.No experience necessary, we will train you! The right candidate will become knowledgeable about the full product line of Born & Raised, and able to effectively market products to existing and prospective customers. Position can be Full-Time for the right candidate. Deliveries are made 3-days per week Monday - Friday. Saturday’s and Sunday’s are dedicated to marketing Born & Raised products at a local farmers market in Frisco, TX.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLoading and unloading frozen meat products onto delivery vehicleDelivering products to customers within specified time frameDelivering products to retail locations and maintaining product appearance and organizationMaintaining accurate delivery records and reporting any issues or discrepanciesCommunicating with customers and answering any questions or concernsRecommend favorite products and offer options to help meet customer needsMaintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of delivery vehicleAdhering to all traffic laws and regulationsSetting up and breaking down farmers market boothMaintaining product freshness and appearanceKeeping accurate records of sales and stockHandling cash and card transactionsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and clean driving record (CDL is NOT a required)Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes of frozen meat productsKnowledge of roads, routes, and navigationGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and maintain a professional demeanorProficient with smartphone and GPS applicationsPhysical DemandsFrequent lifting of heavy boxes up to 50 poundsStanding, bending, and twisting for long periods of timeAbility to work in a refrigerated cold storage for extended periodsSuccessfully pass a pre-employment drug testWorking ConditionsEarly morning or evening deliveriesWeekend work requiredWork in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) while servicing our customersYou will be trained on and expected to apply safe practices while servicing customers and operating the company vehicle. This includes adherence to traffic laws, safe operating practices, company policies, standards, Department of Transportation regulations and requirements and any other program requirements.
