Royalty Audit SupervisorManager at Consultative Search Group

Our client (a global business management firm) is seeking a Royalty Audit Manager out of their Westwood office. This role (outside of LA) is remote.The auditor will be responsible for overseeing a team of staff auditors in executing royalty compliance procedures of record labels and publishers on behalf of their diverse client base which includes numerous artists songwriters and music industry unions. Additional responsibilities will include developing/managing audit programs delegating as well as reviewing staff work assessing contracts for potential claims and the preparation of a report of findings.Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of the audit process for record label and music publisher auditsReview interpret and apply music industry agreement termsAnalyze royalty statementsPrepare databases and analyze large datasets using Excel and/or Access/SQLIdentifying potential issue areasAudit planning and conducting fieldwork proceduresTrain supervise and review staff test workPrepare written audit report complete with supporting schedules and claim calculationsCommunicate effectively with staff auditees and other third partiesAssist with the audit settlement processAssist Director with audit budgets and practice developmentMinimum of 6 years of royalty audit experience required in the music industry with 2 years of supervisory experienceBachelors Degree in Accounting or Business requiredIND-1Required Experience:Manager Key Skills Tax Experience,Auditing,Data Analytics,GAAP,Accounting,Acquisitions,Research Experience,Financial Analysis,Customer relationship management,Mentoring,Supervising Experience,GAAS Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
