Position Description
Position Summary
New River Electrical is looking for a qualified Safety Administrator with knowledge in the electrical utility construction industry. As the Safety Administrator, you will support the Safety department and their projects. In this role you will be responsible for helping administer safety and compliance databases, provide executive and field safety support and maintain accurate records. This position reports to the Manager of Safety Operations.
- Assist with the completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
- Assist with providing safety reports to the Risk Department for analysis and compliance.
- Support Fleet and Safety technology monitoring (Samsara)
- Support corporate data analytics in communication with field employees.
- Support AED & Emergency equipment management
- Assist as needed with FR clothing orders/deliveries.
- Assist Safety Leadership with special projects.
- Monitor safety targets and goals to maintain readiness.
- Daily recordkeeping of support functions and other administrative duties.
- Assist with travel arrangements for Safety Leadership.

Position Requirements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher, preferred.
- 2-5 years of combined experience in construction or utility work environments and administrative experience in a professional or office setting.
- Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, preferred.
- Knowledge in electrical transmission and distribution construction, preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and acute attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple ongoing tasks while working independently.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Travel for this position is required on a limited basis for company functions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and give speeches in a public setting and have good hearing and listening skills. The employee is required to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time. The employee must have good overall health and work into the evening hours when the situation requires. Must be able to lift and carry items approximately 30 lbs.
