Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday, possibly Saturdays, Day Shift: 4:00am-4:00pm, Swing Shift: 1:00pm-10:30pm, and Night Shift: 4:00pm-4:00amPay Rate: $30-$35 per hourLocation: San Martin, CAExperience: At least 2 years of industry experienceWe are excited to share a new opportunity for an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator located in San Martin! Don’t delay, apply today!Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator Job Duties include:Compliance & Oversight: Responsible for ensuring EHS compliance across the San Martin and Gilroy facilities.Support & Training:Coach, train, and support operations teams in executing daily safety fundamentals.Educate staff via weekly safety trainings conducted in both English and Spanish.Assist in the coordination, planning, and facilitation of training seminars.Relationship Building: Build strong, effective relationships with site managers and employees on EHS matters and act as a reliable EHS resource.Incident Management: Assist in Incident Management, including near misses, hazards, and accidents.Analyze safety trends and perform root cause analysis for incidents.Develop and follow up on corrective actions resulting from incidents and analyses.Inspections & Audits:Perform weekly, monthly, and annual inspections at both plants and document completion accurately in Riskonnect.Conduct weekly coaching and procedural audits for critical safety processes, such as Lockout/Tagout.Recognize safety hazards or unsafe work practices and develop Corrective Action Plans.Program Development: Learn and understand site-specific machinery to identify safety zones and develop robust procedures for safe operations.Coordination: Coordinate and lead Safety Committee meetings monthly.Communication: Communicate and escalate issues with leadership in a timely manner.Project Support: Assist site management as needed with various EHS and production-related projects.Travel: Travel and support two facilities (San Martin and Gilroy). Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator Preferred Skills include:Certifications:OSHA 30 certification.HAZWOPER certified.RCRA certified.CPR, First Aid, AED certified.Knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance.Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator Requirements may include:Minimum 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.High School diploma or GED or equivalent training, experience, and education.Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of OSHA 10, California State, and EPA regulations.Excellent interpersonal skills (ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and managers).Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, in-person, and by telephone).Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills.Ability to take initiative and work independently.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Comprehension: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plant safety procedures, professional journals, and technical manuals.Physical Requirements:Will be required to frequently sit and stand for extended periods of time.Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, and fingers to use a computer and keyboard.Safety Equipment: Must wear company-provided PPE (earplugs, hard hat, protective glasses).
