Did you know that we buy 20% of all the potatoes grown in the US WOW!And we know what youre thinkinghow can I get my hands on some free goodies Our team members can take home free snacks!Safety Coordinator Afternoon Shift- Monday -Friday 3pm-12amPay Rate $23/HR plus $0.75 Shift DifferentialThe Safety Coordinator plays a critical role for the manufacturing facility. The Coordinator undertakes operational activities required to meet the Safety and Environmental Plan. Activities include facilitating the flow of health & safety information and programs providing training on general EHS program requirements and completing EHS projects audits and inspections.Participate in and set the example for an interdependent safety and environmental culture capable of achieving zero incidents and injuries.Deliver training to create a culture of safety ensure competence and compliance.Deliver safety orientation training to prepare new employees for safe work.Administer behavior-based programs to create a brothers keeper safety cultureParticipate in incident and emergency response investigation root cause analysisPartner with employees and supervisor to complete investigations identification of root causes for all incidentsGather and report safety and environmental metricsConduct safety and environmental risk assessments and auditsAdminister near miss reporting and correction process (including tracking and closure)Implement and oversee employee PPE supply and distributionImplement environmental and safety communications processes (toolbox talks communication boards newsletters etc.)Perform safety and environmental regulatory inspections (SWPPP SPCC Wastewater LOTO Confined Space Egress Machine Guarding etc.)Maintain current knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and practices through networking and seminarsParticipate in implementation administration and recordkeeping to ensure compliance with local state and federal safety and environmental requirements including:Occupational Safety and Health Act (1910 Subparts A D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S Z and all reference standards)Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act (SARA 311/312 Tier II Toxic Release Inventory)Clean Water Act (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Stormwater Pollution Prevention Spill Control and Countermeasures wastewater)Hazardous Material Transportation ActResource Conservation and Recovery Act (hazardous and universal waste)Air Quality and Clean Air Acts (air permitting)Maintain reduce reuse and recycle programs throughout the facilityQualificationsHigh school education or GED equivalent2-5 years of job-related experienceInterpersonal skillsCommunication skillsListening skillsOrganizational skillsKnowledge of counting and basic mathKnowledge skills and abilities consistent with the essential duties and responsibilitiesAbility to speak effectively before groups of associates of the organization.Ability to utilize Microsoft office suiteAbility to solve practical problemsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule formAbility to effectively communicate with team members supervisors and managersAbility to work flexible schedule including days afternoons midnights and overtimeWe offer a variety pack of benefits after just 30 days:Medical Dental Vision Life Flexible Spending Account Retirement Savings Plan with Match Short Term Disability Long Term Disability Group Critical Accident Insurance Group Critical Illness Insurance Employee Assistance Plan and numerous opportunities to volunteer in the communities in which we operate.
