The Branch Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing safety programs across multiple construction branches within the Mid-Atlantic region (MD, DE, VA). This role supports a diverse portfolio of construction projects, including healthcare, data centers, and government environments, ensuring full compliance with all safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety excellence.
This individual will partner closely with leadership, project teams, and field personnel to proactively identify risks, enforce safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across all job sites.

Job Details
The Branch Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing safety programs across multiple construction branches within the Mid-Atlantic region (MD, DE, VA). This role supports a diverse portfolio of construction projects, including healthcare, data centers, and government environments, ensuring full compliance with all safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety excellence.
This individual will partner closely with leadership, project teams, and field personnel to proactively identify risks, enforce safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across all job sites.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage safety programs across three branch locations (Maryland, Delaware, Virginia)
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA and beyond)
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections to identify hazards and enforce safe work practices
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to implement safety plans
- Lead jobsite safety meetings, trainings, and toolbox talks
- Participate in pre-construction and subcontractor safety planning
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; implement corrective actions
- Maintain and audit all safety documentation (SDS, incident reports, training logs, audits)
- Provide guidance on safety protocols, equipment usage, and risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor safety performance metrics and recommend improvements
- Support workers' compensation processes and return-to-work programs
- Stay current on evolving safety regulations and industry best practices
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to promote a safety-first culture
Qualifications
Required
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Experience working in or supporting construction environments
- Valid driver's license (role includes travel between branches)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred
- Construction safety experience required
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- OSHA 500 or 510 Certification preferred
- Experience supporting healthcare, data center, and/or government construction projects preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong hazard recognition and risk mitigation abilities
- Ability to influence and enforce safety compliance in the field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- High level of professionalism and accountability
Work Environment
- Frequent travel between job sites across MD, DE, and VA
- Combination of field and office environments
- Exposure to construction conditions, including weather, noise, and active job sites
- Physical ability to walk sites, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
