We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands phosphate mining fertilizer manufacturing farming ranching and cattle production and other enterprises related to agriculture.Summary Reporting to the Plant Director and serving as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team the Safety Manager will provide strategic direction establish priorities and lead health and safety initiatives across the site at our Food Manufacuring Process Facility.This role is critical in driving continuous improvement in workplace health and safety by implementing the sites Health and Safety Program and supporting line management in executing the broader safety strategy.Key Responsibilities Coach and support managers providing advice and guidance in relation to the management of OHS risks employee/contractor safety OHS policies etc.Co-ordinate OHS risk identification risk assessment and risk control in all areas across the site lead incident investigation and reporting activitiesProvide input to the development of OHS training plans working with the LL&D team to co-ordinate and at times facilitate training sessionsContribute to the development and review of GF OHS Policies and Procedures in line with regulatory and industry requirementsTypical Education Bachelors Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university(Industrial or Occupational Health degree preferred)Relevant Experience 5 years related experience and/or trainingOther Information Preferred CSP/OHST/CIH certifications or willing to pursue a certification.Bilingual in Spanish(preferred)Knowledge / ExperienceKnowledge of relevant health and safety legislation Codes of Practice and OSHA StandardsSound knowledge of hazard identification risk assessment risk control principles and their practical application to plant equipment processes property environment and other risk exposures within the business.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build partnerships both internally and externally at all levels of the organisationRoot cause methodology Investigator is desirableKey Challenges / Success factors:Influencing key stakeholders on recommended solutionsBuilding strong relationships with customers to ensure solutions are matched to needs and customer inclusiveDelivery of key programs against agreed plans (deliverables timeframes budget)Meeting of competing demandsJob Requisition ID: 23580Travel Required: Less than 10%Location(s): GF Plant - Moses LakeCountry: United StatesWage range or rate of pay: $100000 - $120000 Plus annual incentive plan eligibilityThe compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience skills education location and other job-related reasons.Attractive total rewards package that includes:Medical dental vision coverage401(k) savings planPaid Family Building LeaveGenerous Paid Time Off - Eligible employees may accrue up to 160 hours in year 110 Paid HolidaysRelocation Assistance Program (where applicable)Education AssistanceBenefits details available at **The J.R.
