Job Description

Assist in the design and implementation of frameworks that positively impact safety cultureResearch and strategize emerging and complex risksIdentify and communicate contractors culture key personnel and processes to team membersManage change regarding safety initiativesInform and review safety programs with operational leadership planted within your teamProactively recognize trends and brainstorm/develop solutionsPerform monthly field observationsIdentify schedule and facilitate incident reviews for operationsCollaborate across the business to share best practices and lessons learnedDeliver quality education in safety meetingsAdvocate all components of EOGs WARS and Locks & Keys program dailyEngage and educate personnel onsite using EOGs Locks & Keys programServe as a voice to drive a proactive safety cultureReport physician involved/CIP events concerns and questions to division safety managerSchedule and facilitate quarterly leadership roundtablesMaintain knowledge and expected filings dealing with state and federal regulations EOG Resources Safe Practices Manual and contractor policies and procedures in regards to disciplines contained within teamNM Workers Compensation Administration inspectionsAnnual LOTO auditFire extinguisher inspectionsCompliance based annual trainingIH testingMEQ and fit testingAnnual crane inspectionsChemical inventory and SDS filesRespiratory equipment maintenanceEmergency response equipment inspections and maintenanceMaintain direct relationships with operations for the opportunity of open communication and providing safety knowledgeEducate others on the hierarchy of controls verify usage with incident investigations and provide feedback on ways to improve investigation tacticsResearch PPE and safety related equipment needs and maintain inventoryAssist team members with the management of EOG and contractor incidents utilizing Best Care PracticesReview incident reporting periodically for accurate and correct informationVerify emergency response planning inspections and education for operations within teamContinually evolve the methods to gather compute and distribute safety related data.Bachelors degree in Engineering Chemistry Biology Safety Environmental or related field preferred; high school diploma or GED required. Strong technical knowledge. Broad knowledge of safety and environmental laws and regulations. Must be computer literate with excellent communications and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively with others at all levels. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to exercise sound judgment.
