Job Title:Safety Specialist II - Sr VegetationWork Place Flexibility: OnsiteLegal Entity:Entergy Services Inc.-ESI (OLD)This is an onsite role as a field safety specialist. The primary locations Hot Springs or Little Rock Arkansas will be considered. Candidates selected from outside of the serviced areas would need to relocate for this position may be filled as a Safety Specialist II III or Senior depending on experience and demonstrated success at the Safety Specialist level.Job Summary/PurposeAll members of Entergys safety function will be expected to own safety work to prevent incidents and seek to improve with the understanding that zero harm is possible. This position is tasked with examining the workplace/worksite for environmental or physical factors that could affect employee and/or contract partner health safety comfort and performance. Ensuring the workplace/worksite is as safe as possible is accomplished through conducting risk assessments safety analyses job site reviews and coaching. This position is specific to vegetation management and asset management.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of safety programs in accordance with management system elements.Conduct training as necessary to ensure applicable rules procedures and expectations are understood.Conduct engagements and observations with employees and contract partners providing immediate coaching on safe and unsafe conditions observed.Conduct field and site inspections document deficiencies and develop sustainable solutions to prevent repeat findings.Participate in the incident investigation process including root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions.Reinforce safe work expectations in accordance with applicable laws rules procedures and expectations.Review safety related data and metrics to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to address any issues identified.Stop work if there is any unsafe condition.Minimum RequirementsMinimum education required of the positionSafety Specialist II: Any Level Degree PreferredSafety Specialist III: Bachelor PreferredSafety Specialist Senior: Bachelor PreferredMinimum experience required of the positionSafety Specialist II: 2years industry and/or safety experience preferredSafety Specialist III: 4 years industry and/or safety experience preferredSafety Specialist Senior: 6 years industry and/or safety experience preferredMinimum knowledge skills and abilities required of the positionWorking knowledge of construction and general industry safety regulations.Ability to observe and engage with employees and contract partners.Investigation/RCA with tools such as TapRoot Cause Mapping Fishbone Five whys etc.Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends.Ability to interact with customers and members of the public in a pleasant and tactful manner.Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.Strong oral and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required.Anycertificates licenses etc. required for the positionSafety Specialist IIRequired:COSS/CHST/OHST or equivalentSafety Specialist IIIRequired:COSM/CHST/OHST or equivalentSafety Specialist SeniorRequired:ASP/CUSP/OSHA 500 or equivalent**If you dont have these licenses you must be able to obtain them upon being hired.***PreferredAsset Management Vegetation Management or Vegetation Safety experience preferredBilingual (Spanish) preferredPrimary Location: Arkansas-Hot SpringsArkansas : HotspringsArkansas : Hot SpringsArkansas : Little RockJob Function: All Other JobsFLSA Status: ProfessionalRelocation Option: Union description/code: NON BARGAINING UNITNumber of Openings: 1Req ID: 121755Travel Percentage:Up to 25%An Equal Opportunity Employer Minority/Female/Disability/Vets.
