This role ensures that all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive safety professional with a passion for education a strong understanding of OSHA and other regulatory requirements and the ability to engage employees at all levels.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Nothing in this job description restricts managements right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Develops implements and maintains comprehensive safety training programs tailored to various roles and departmentsConducts needs assessments to identify training gaps and recommend appropriate solutionsDelivers engaging in-person and virtual safety training sessions workshops and toolbox talksCreates and maintains training materials including manuals e-learning modules videos and job aidsMonitors and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through assessments feedback and performance metricsMaintains accurate training records and generate reports for internal and external audits.Supports incident investigations by identifying training-related root causes and recommending corrective actionsStays current on industry best practices regulatory changes and emerging safety technologiesCollaborates with cross-functional teams to implement safety campaigns initiatives and continuous improvement projectsParticipates in incident investigations root cause analyses and the development of corrective action plansMonitors industry trends regulatory updates and best practices to inform safety strategies.Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for safety-related inquiries and initiatives across the organizationOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Health Industrial Engineering or a related field or 4 years of related experience2 to 4 years experience in safety training auditing or standards development in a corporate or multi-site environmentStrong knowledge of OSHA standards and other applicable safety regulationsExperience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools. Experience with Cornerstone a plusExcellent communication presentation and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel to company locations as needed (up to 50%)Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusStrong working knowledge of content creation software including Adobe Captivate Articulate Photoshop etcProfessional certifications such as ASP CSP CHST or equivalent preferredExperience in high-risk industries such as construction manufacturing or logisticsFamiliarity with adult learning principles instructional design and behavior-based safety programsThe information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
