Job Title: Salary Survey Program Manager Location: USO-TW Building ATL Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 290200 About Us The University System of Georgia (USG) is comprised of 26 higher education institutions as well as the University System Office (USO). Within the USO, our administrative operations are primarily housed in the Trinity Washington Building located in downtown Atlanta. Our Information Technology Services (ITS) division is located in Athens. The University System of Georgia Shared Services Center (SSC) is located in Sandersville. The Georgia Public Library System is located in Atlanta. The Georgia Archives is located in Morrow. The State of Georgia Records Center is located in Austell.Job Summary The Salary Survey Data Manager is responsible for completing salary survey submissions on behalf of the University System of Georgia (USG) and serving as the central resource for systemwide market data. In collaboration with other members of the System Office compensation team, this role manages survey participation, conducts labor market benchmarking, and administers compensation tools to support systemwide compensation planning and decision-making across all USG institutions.Responsibilities Manage systemwide participation in national and regional salary surveys, ensuring accurate and timely data submission for all USG institutions.Coordinate data collection, maintain survey schedules, and administer survey-related tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.Serve as the systemwide administrator for compensation tools, overseeing institutional access, user support, and data integrity.Conduct labor market research and benchmarking analyses to inform systemwide compensation strategy and pay structure reviews.Support job matching, market pricing, and compensation data analysis in collaboration with System Office and campus HR teams.Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and ensure compliance with USG reporting standards and applicable regulations.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.Three (3) or more years of experience in compensation, labor market research, data analytics, or salary survey administration, preferably within a public sector or higher education setting.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.Progress toward or completion of a professional certification (e.g., CCP, SHRM-CP, PHR).Experience administering or analyzing higher education or public sector salary surveys.Exposure to centralized HR governance models and state-level regulatory compliance.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret large data sets to produce clear, actionable insights.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with HRIS and business intelligence platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, Power BI, Tableau) and survey platforms.Compensation Knowledge: Understanding of salary survey methodologies, job evaluation practices, and market pricing techniques.Project Management: Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects independently with accuracy and attention to detail.Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of FLSA requirements and public sector reporting standards.Communication & Collaboration: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively summarize data and partner with diverse institutional stakeholders.Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement process improvements.Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently.USG Core Values The University System of Georgia is comprised of our 26 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
