As an industry leader in HVAC, HHY is proud to partner with first-class manufacturers to provide hydronic solutions for all industries, building types, and occupant needs.Voted one of the Best Employers in NC in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 by Business North Carolina Magazine,Hoffman Hydronics is actively seeking qualified Sales Engineers who:Have a strong understanding of hydronic/pumping systems.Have a strong understanding on steam systems.Able to select and specify pumps and pump-related equipment.Have experience working with engineering firms and end users to select and specify steam & hydronic equipment.Have excellent presentation skills with experience conducting lunch and learns.Understand and leverage the sales processIdentify and respond to customer needs, including generating quotes and closing ordersDevelop and maintain a network of contacts, an assigned customer base and a full pipeline of opportunities that assures sales goal attainmentUtilize current and create new, innovative sales tools to effectively plan and increase business opportunity in accountsEnsure customer satisfaction with our products and servicesDevelop and propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operationsMonitor sales trends and product performance resultsContinually enhance sales skills and product knowledgeBuild relationships with commercial and industrial customers.Additional responsibilities include:Upholding and adhering to Hoffman Hydronics Core ValuesWorking with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service from order to product delivery and beyond.Answering customer inquiries and responding to special requestsCollecting, organizing, and assembling data for reports, presentations, and/or special projectsDeveloping owner sales plans and generates successful sales with core customers.Maintaining records of sales, customer information and requests by updating in ERPMaintaining customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action and communicating with customers and staff as neededCommunicating customer perceptions by gathering customer feedback and sharing information with managementWorking closely as a team member with other parts of the businessContacting responsible parties for purpose of securing renewal of service agreementsEducation and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience4+ or more years of prior sales experience in the HVAC industrySkills and QualificationsDemonstrated understanding of hydronics/pumping systemsProduct and vendor knowledge A strong sales presenceDetail oriented, professional attitude, reliableAbility to work independently and within a team with emphasis on accuracy and timelinessMust possess a personal need to consistently produce accurate and thorough resultsSuperior written, oral and presentation skillsProven problem solving, leadership and listening skillsWorking ConditionsNormal office environmentModerate lifting may be required to move equipment, files and suppliesExtensive travelFlexibility to work overtime/weekends, as requiredOccasional work in outside weather conditionsThis job description is intended to provide information regarding the essential functions and basic duties of this position.
