Job Description
Title: Sales & Logistics Coordinator I/IIIndustry: TradingLocation: White Plains NYSalary: $60k-$65k (DOE)-Non ExemptReport to: Department Manager9:00-17:00-3days at the officeThis position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service coordinating logistics and providing sales support.Responsibilities:Provides Customer ServiceReceive process and enter customer orders into internal control software (i.e. SAP/MOCA)Issue invoicesAssist customers with issues answer questions and resolve problems in a timely mannerMaintain business relationships with customers and suppliers/vendorsTrack shipments perform traces as requested/needed and update relevant partiesMonitor customer ordering patterns and follow up with Management on irregularities or missed ordersFollow up on or assist in post-customer billing and accounting issues and/or proceduresPerforms Logistics FunctionsVerify incoming and outgoing shipmentsInspect and ensure the accuracy of all logistics-related documentsProcess relevant and necessary paperwork for import/export of countries (BL Commercial Inv etc.)Place orders with suppliers as requestedArrange transportation relevant to distribution and shippingObtain rates shipping schedules and vessel spaceCheck and compare all freight charges for accuracy and competitiveness filing claims on overchargesProcess payments prepare receipts and initiate billing proceduresFile insurance claimsPerform any other logistics functions as necessaryPerforms Sales FunctionsCreate purchase orders letters of credit and sales contractsMonitor credit limits on each saleDocument new project inquiries from new and current clientsLiaise between sales staff and customersConduct research activities in order to grasp current needsIdentify and follow through on sales opportunities with current and prospective clientsPerform any other sales support functions as necessaryPerforms Inventory Control FunctionsMonitor invoices and ordersEnsure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained by other sales support staffTrack and expedite inventory for delivery as neededOrganize inventoryReport any inventory discrepancy to Management in a timely mannerPerforms Bid Management FunctionsCurate and screen bid opportunitiesOrganize and clarify bid requirementsPrepare bid documentsCoordinate with municipalities and internal sales teamsTrack submission progress and manage deadlinesQualifications:3 to 5 years of related logistics/customer service/sales support experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize tasksStrong capability to multitask and finish assigned projects before deadlines are dueStrong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skillsProficient in Microsoft Office including Word Excel OutlookSelf-motivated and effective in a team setting and individuallyAbility to work in a multi-cultural business environmentAssociates degree Key Skills Sales Experience,Microsoft Office,Customer Service,Hotel Experience,Hospitality Experience,Basic Math,Microsoft Powerpoint,Salesforce,Filing,Project Management Software,Administrative Experience,Sales Support Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
