While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid drivers license is essential for this role.At Medtronic the Sales Representative I Interventional Therapiessolicits orders selling Medtronic Interventional products and services (Balloon Kyphoplasty OsteoCool Tumor Ablation and Emprint Microwave Ablation) and representing the company in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned; for maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions and for reporting back promptly to the district manager. This position will work in tandem with an Interventional Therapy Consultant II and will have territory coverage responsibility and sales responsibility.This is afield basedrole.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Promotes and sells Medtronics Interventional portfolio comprised of Balloon Kyphoplasty OsteoCool Tumor Ablation and Emprint Microwave ablation products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. Perform other activities as they arise as assigned by the sales leadership. Ensures personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.Generates new sales: Develops leads recruits new surgeons qualifies prospects and makes sales calls assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronics Interventional products and/or services.Grows existing Interventional business and develops new opportunitiesWorks autonomously utilizing corporate resources to generate revenue and meet/exceed quotaImplements approved marketing strategiesAggressively seeks new customers and formulates and follow plans for such action as directed by the District Sales ManagerResponds to customer complaints in accordance with Medtronic policy and advise District Sales Manager and Medtronic promptly of any situation beyond scope of authorityStays attentive to competitors product and merchandizing practices and to keep the District Sales Manager informed concerning themResponsible for developing building and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including physicians.Maintains up-to-date customer record books and other records in accordance with District Sales Manager instructionsPrepares and submits call reports as required by District Sales ManagerAttends and participates in sales meetings training programs conventions and trade shows as directedAssists in the field training of any sales person as requested by the District Sales ManagerOrganize meetings with physicians and other key opinion leaders in order to increase awareness of MedtronicsInterventional solutions.Cooperates with all personnel on the execution of Company programsCreates and implements an annual business plan with quarterly updatesProvides service to customers per their individual needsResponds in a timely manner to all reporting requirements and requestsAdheres to company policies and conducts all business in an ethical mannerManages business within assigned budgets and with Medtronic profitability in mindWe seek out and hire a diverse workforce at every level: We need fresh ideas and inclusive insights to continue to be an innovative industry leader thats why we make it a point to seek out attract and develop employees who are patient-centric passionate and who represent the same wide variety of life experiences as our patients.To learn more about Inclusion & Diversity at MedtronicClick HereQualifications Must Have: Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role please ensure the minimum requirements are evident onyour applicant profile.High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant sales clinical or related experience in medical device Medtech healthcare or life sciences; orAssociates Degree and 4 years of relevant sales clinical or related experience in medical device Medtech healthcare or life sciences; orBachelors Degree and 2 years of relevant sales clinical or related experience in medical device Medtech healthcare or life sciencesNice to Have: Preferences Ortho spine or O.R. experience Ability to sell in an environment where partnering with a surgeon is critical and ability to sell a new device or procedure Proven leadership abilities and experience in selling value-added programs Fully knowledgeable about the anatomy and capable of effectively explaining after the completion of sales training. After two weeks in the territory should be able to describe the anatomy of the spine andanatomicallandmarksnecessary to instruct a surgeon on the useof Kyphons products.
