DescriptionAs the Income Franchise Tax Senior Associate youll deliver a full range of tax planning consulting and compliance services for your multiple clients all with the resources environment and support to help you excel. Youll collaborate with the Income/Franchise Tax team and work closely with staff on various tax matters on all phases of project and engagement management because together is how we succeed.From day one youll be empowered by high quality tools and resources to thrive in your role to meet client needs and help you achieve more confidently.Your day-to-day may include:Run client engagements from start to finish which includes planning executing directing and completing tax projects and managing to budgetSupervise train and mentor associates and interns on tax projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as neededDeliver a full range of State & Local Tax services including tax return preparation and review tax research preparation of technical memorandums and drafting client correspondence. Assignments include reverse sales tax reviews audit defense and research of sales tax issuesReview tax returns done by staff and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities; gain increasing responsibility in review processConduct multi-disciplinary multi-state reviews that analyze income franchise sales and use payroll valorem taxes and others to identify optimal filing options exemptions credits and incentives and corporate structures that can reduce the clients tax burdenPrepare returns for more complex State & Local Income/Franchise Tax returns and demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax conceptsRespond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authoritiesOther duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills and qualifications:Bachelors degree in AccountingMinimum two to six years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consultingCPA JD or Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong teamwork and analytical skills and attention to detailStrong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft ExcelCan travel as neededThe base salary range for this position in Illinois only is between $80000 and $120000#LI-TC1Required Experience:Senior IC Key Skills Portfolio Management,Wealth Management,Financial Services,Hybris,Microsoft Word,Banking,Cash Management,Data Management,Microsoft Powerpoint,Securities Law,Microsoft Excel,Internet Of Things Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
