Comprehensive Development ClassroomInstructional Assistant Position AnnouncementSam Houston Elementary School is seeking an instructional assistant.This part-time position is for 29 hours/week.Education Certification and Related Work Experience:High School Diploma (2 years college preferred)Meets highly qualified requirements for classified staffQualities of a Desired Candidate Include:Work with students under the supervision of administration and special and regular education teachers.Demonstrate an aptitude and flexibility to work with multiple schedules and student needs.Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.Tend to diapering and personal care needs of studentsMaintain student records and confidentialityWork closely with supervising teacher to provide support to students in the classroom as well as address individual needs in an inclusionary settingCommitment to student achievement and growth.Commitment and loyalty to the school and position.Other responsibilities as assigned by administration including flexibility in daily schedule.Possess honesty integrity and professionalismAll interested parties should submit a letter of interest and a resumeby December 5th to Julie Vananda Assistant Principal (@).
