Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThree Oaks Hospitality is looking for professional grill cooks to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up cooking stations. Our sauté cooks assist our kitchen staff with the ingredient preparation process. This can involve slicing, cutting, and tenderizing vegetables and other ingredients. Sauté cooks must communicate with waitstaff and assist in maintaining inventory. To be successful in this role, you will need to be capable of working in a team and have exceptional grilling abilities.Supervisory Responsibilities:• None.Duties/Responsibilities:Sauté vegetables with a high degree of skillAssist in maintaining inventory by tracking, labeling, and replacing key ingredientsPrepare vegetables by slicing, cutting, shredding, and tenderizing them as neededCommunicate with the head chef and wait staff to ensure the timely delivery of all mealsComply with food and health regulations and safety standards.Maintain a workstation that is both clean and sanitaryCommunicate with the restaurant manager about any kitchen supplies and upgrades that are needed.Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of industry standards and food safety guidelinesDemonstrating proper hygiene behaviorAbility to offer excellent customer satisfactionPositive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchenStrong communication skillsAbility to work for long periods and on public holidaysAvailability to work evening and weekend shiftsExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsUnderstanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresFamiliar with industry’s best practiceEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED.Culinary school diploma preferred.Valid Food Handlers Certificate.Previous experience in the hospitality industry.Physical Requirements: Remain standing for extended periods of time.Bending, squatting and lifting up to 20 lbs. for short distances.Ability to work with varying noise levelsBenefits:Employee DiscountReferral ProgramFlexible SchedulePaid Training
