JOB DESCRIPTION

Scheduler- Full-Time Grand Rapids, MI and Surrounding Areas

Emmanuel Hospice is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day and future scheduling for our field teams, ensuring consistent care delivery and timely communication of changes. You will work closely with Clinical Leadership and Office Support teams while also providing support to Human Resources through our time and attendance software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and communicate staff schedules, including weekend and on-call coverage.
  • Update scheduling software and spreadsheets with accurate information.
  • Coordinate coverage for vacations, call-ins, training, and other staffing needs.
  • Monitor and maintain Teams schedules across multiple disciplines.
  • Manage HRIS functions, including timecard approvals and PTO requests.
  • Maintain and update coverage spreadsheets, night/weekend/holiday schedules, and monthly physician schedules.
  • Assign tasks in MatrixCare during Hope Visits/SFV checks.
  • Support Office team with communication to patients, families, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and state/federal regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Previous healthcare experience required; hospice or homecare experience preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong background in customer service, clerical work, and scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift/move office supplies and materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional travel within Emmanuel Hospice's service area.
