As a Behavior Consultant, you will ensure that the providers, staff, and clients meet the goals and objectives of the clinic, create an atmosphere where learning and excelling to the greatest potential are a part of the school culture, and improve skills for students affected by developmental disorders through program development, provider training, family support, outreach, technology, and public awareness.WHAT YOU’LL DODevelopment of programs, procedures. schedules, and training materials for staff involved with students with challenging behaviors for the purpose of enhancing programs for clients and ensuring that program operations are in compliance with established guidelinesConduct workshops, trainings, in-service presentations, etc. in clinic management techniques and other topics for the purpose of developing skills and establishing effective relationships with behaviorally or emotionally disturbed students.Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops and committees for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelinesProvide consultation to school staff, agencies, and familiesSupport the implementation of skill assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP) and functional assessment measuresAid in resolving student behavioral problemsCommunicate with treatment team about student progress and needsEnsure accurate and reliable data collection on all goals and other target skills related to ABA curriculumAide in school programming management by completing integrity checks, creating and adjusting behavior plans, creating procedures, and developing target selectionAdvise parents and providers on implementation of programsMonitor and evaluate student progressPerform any additional duties as deemed necessary by the Clinical DirectorWHAT YOU’LL NEEDQualificationsBehavior Specialist License (required)Meets key RBT CompetenciesBachelor’s DegreeMaster’s Degree (preferred)Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (preferred)Completion of 8-Hour Supervision Course (preferred)Experience with ABA, VB-MAPP, behavior modification, behavior intervention, and assessmentsExperience working with individuals with developmental delaysClearances & Training RequiredAct 33 PA Child Abuse History ClearanceAct 34 PA State Criminal History ClearanceAct 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of EducationAct 126 Mandated Reporter Training CertificateAct 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with childrenCPR/First AidTB/PhysicalWHAT WE OFFERWork-life Balance - enjoy a typical school schedule with company paid holidays and paid time off built into your scheduleCompetitive Pay RateHealth Insurance - With employer contributionDental and Vision Insurance - 100% by employer paidPaid Time Off Company Sponsored 401(k) Professional Development OpportunitiesDiscount MarketEqual Opportunity and Non-Discrimination PolicyThe Hope Center is committed to maintaining fair and equitable employment practices in compliance with all applicable federal and state requirements.
