Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob description:Prepare nutritious meals daily (breakfast, lunch and snack) for students ages 1-5 years old.Daily/weeklyObtain meal counts from each classroomPrepare and serve mealsWash and put away all dishes before leavingKeep kitchen clean and organized at all timesWipe and sanitize countersWipe oven and refrigeratorWipe & dry all kitchen equipmentClear drains of food and rinse out and dry sink each time dishes are doneRemove from freezer any food needed for the following day for defrostingEmpty trash can and put new liner inSweep and mop kitchen floors dailyLabel leftover food with current dateEnsure classroom supplies are filled and delivered (collect supply list Wed, collect/deliver on Friday)Interact with the children in a manner that clearly conveys love and acceptanceIf changes are needed on the menu, please change menus in designated areasOther duties as needed;MonthlyDeep clean the ovenDefrost the freezerMaintain food/supply inventoryEnsure broom, dust pan and trash can liners are cleaned outAttend required trainings as neededMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Knowledge of CACFP protocolsEducation:Graduation from high school, or equivalent.Preferred Experience:Experience in production cooking. Experience with the Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements and documentation.
