Job Description

The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 4 Long-Term Substitute School Counselor for the academic year. Anticipated start date is February 5 2026 with the assignment concluding around May 4 2026. Mindess is a vibrant learning community dedicated to academic excellence and the social emotional growth of every student. We foster a collaborative environment where educators students and families partner to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Provide individual and small-group counselingFacilitate weekly SEL lessons in fourth grade classroomsCollaborate with teachers administrators and families to support student social-emotional growthAssist with crisis intervention and student support plans as neededMaintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and familiesParticipate in student support meetings and professional development opportunitiesQualifications:Bachelors degree requiredDegree in counseling or related field preferredDESE licensure as a School Counselor preferredAbility to build rapport with students and foster a positive inclusive learning environmentFlexibility reliability and a collaborative mindset Key Skills Experience Working With Students,Classroom Management,Algebra,Behavior Management,Classroom Experience,Computer Operation,EDI,Lesson Planning,Special Education,Teaching,Cordova,Writing Skills Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
