Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a real impact in education by supporting students as a dedicated school counselor in a contract role beginning August 12, 2025, and continuing through May 21, 2027. Located near New Waverly, TX, this part-time position involves working 16 hours weekly across a blend of elementary and middle school campuses. You'll be connecting with approximately 30 students at five different locations, fostering their academic, emotional, and social success.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Texas LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) credential required
  • Previous experience working with K-8 or K-12 students preferred
  • Familiarity with supporting students facing diverse academic and social-emotional challenges
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt approaches for various developmental levels and campus environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and group counseling services aligned with students' needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create effective support plans
  • Conduct assessments and interventions for students requiring additional behavioral or emotional assistance
  • Maintain accurate records and confidential documentation for student sessions
  • Participate in multi-campus meetings and contribute to ongoing communication among staff
