DescriptionPosition Summary:The School Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and sanitary environment throughout the school premises. This includes classrooms hallways restrooms offices and common areas. The role ensures that students staff and visitors experience a well-maintained facility that supports learning and safety.Pay: $20.00 an hourThe pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. For information about ABMs benefits visitABM Employee Benefits Front Line Team Members (Programa de Beneficios de ABM)Key Responsibilities:Daily Cleaning Duties:Sweep mop vacuum and dust classrooms hallways and offices.Clean and sanitize restrooms replenish supplies and empty trash receptacles.Maintain cleanliness in cafeterias gyms and other common areas.Safety & Compliance:Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.Report any maintenance issues safety hazards or repairs needed.Event & Seasonal Support:Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities.Perform deep cleaning during school breaks and summer months.Equipment & Supplies:Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning tools and machines.Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.Qualifications:Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of cleaning techniques safety procedures and basic maintenance.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
