School Custodian Employment Type: Temporary/On-call positionSalary Range: $15.00/hourReports to: Custodial SupervisorThe Role As a Custodian you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness safety and overall appearance of an assigned school campus. Youll work closely with the school administration and custodial team to ensure the facility is ready for students staff and community events every day.What Youll DoPerform daily cleaning of classrooms restrooms cafeterias hallways offices and common areas (sweeping mopping vacuuming dusting trash removal)Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock paper towels toilet paper soap and sanitary suppliesSet up and break down rooms for meetings events and cafeteria usePerform minor maintenance tasks (replace light bulbs unclog toilets/sinks basic furniture repair)Secure the building at the end of shift (lock doors turn off lights arm alarms)Respond to emergency cleaning needs (spills bodily fluids weather-related issues)Strip wax and buff floors; shampoo carpets as scheduledAssist with grounds upkeep (empty exterior trash cans pick up litter light snow removal if applicable)Follow all OCPS safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals (training provided)Who You AreHigh school diploma or GED preferred (not required)Previous custodial janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus but not required we will train the right candidateAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (bending kneeling climbing ladders standing for long periods)Reliable punctual and takes pride in keeping facilities spotlessStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyComfortable working independently and as part of a teamRequired Skills:-Required Education:- Key Skills Experience Working With Students,Organizational skills,Classroom Management,Behavioral Health,Classroom Experience,Mediation Experience,Special Education,Conflict Management,Teaching,Experience with Children,Public Speaking,Word Processing Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 12 - 15
