Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Overview of Campus Crisis Support Staff The Campus Crisis Support Staff are responsible for maintaining a safe, predictable and therapeutic environment for children on campus enrolled in our day and residential programs. Campus Crisis Support Staff provide close supervision, instruction, counseling, and proactive support to all children during program activities. They will assist children with transitions, intervene when there are conflicts between children, and respond to crisis when needed. The AOD and/or Captain of Campus Crisis Support will assign appropriate posts and daily assignments based on the evolving campus needs.Schedule: Sunday Thru Thursday 3:00pm until 11:00pm or Tuesday Thru Saturday 3:00pm until 11:00pm Essential Duties of Campus Crisis Support StaffKey duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Responds to crisis in a timely manner.Is flexible, supportive, and accommodating in crisis or unplanned situations.Knows and complies with agency standards regarding Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and restraints.Provides children with appropriate supervision at all times.Adheres to school and residential programming plan and routines.Remains positively engaged with children at all times, throughout the day.Actively participates in team discussions and cooperates to follow through on safety plans, BIPS etc.Completes all paperwork requirements clearly, accurately and in a timely fashion.Actively participates in training opportunities and supervisory discussions.Attends meetings and trainings as required.Honors Sanctuary Commitments and uses Sanctuary Tools in all day to day activities.Avoids power struggles with children and provides continuous support and encouragement.Completes critical incident reports as appropriate.Treats all children, families and co-workers with respect & courtesy.Ability to adhere to our organization's core values and commitmentsSupports the overall strategic plan of the organization Essential Qualifications of Campus Crisis Support StaffKey qualifications include:Minimum of High School Diploma with 2 years of related experience preferredGood Oral and Written Communication SkillsHigh Emotional IntelligenceAbility to self-regulateExperience managing children who are experiencing emotional dysregulationMust have a driver’s license in good standingAbility to access and utilize ADP APP on smartphone or other device for access to agency programsBenefits of Campus Crisis Support StaffGenerous PTO, 4 weeks of vacation, floating holidays, holidays, personal and sick timeHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Benefits401(k) Employer ContributionsTuition ReimbursementFlex Spending AccountsEmployer Paid STD, LTD and Life InsuranceProfessional Development Physical/Travel RequirementsMust possess ability to sit, stand, walk, run, climb stairs, and lifts weights of up to 30lbs.Candidates who are successfully hired, must participate in our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training which concludes with a written and verbal test, and you will be evaluated on conducting a proper physical restraint.The employee must be able to meet these requirements with or without a reasonable accommodation.DisclaimerNothing in this job description restricts Andrus’ right to modify the duties/responsibilities of this job at any time, with or without advanced notice.EEO StatementAndrus is an equal opportunity employer.
