Organization Overview: Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) proudly stands as the largest expanded learning provider in San Mateo County, dedicated to empowering 6,700 TK-College students across 30 sites from East Palo Alto to Daly City. Position Overview: The School Site Director is responsible for overseeing a high-quality extended learning program for students. They will collaborate with families, school staff, and community partners to ensure the program's success. As a member of the BGCP Site Leadership Team, the Site Director will provide input and feedback to ensure consistent implementation of the program. This role serves as a "second shift school principal" to support students' extended learning and promote school success.

  • Manage & Develop Site Systems
  • Manage School Partnerships
  • Oversee Site Budgets

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to BGCP's mission and vision and working with K-8 youth
  • B.S. degree or 5 years of equivalent experience
  • A minimum of one-year successful experience in an educational environment
  • Experience building relationships with diverse youth communities and constituents
  • Ability to motivate through positive reinforcement
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexible in navigating a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred one year of experience working with K-8 youth
  • Spanish fluency is preferred

Location: San Mateo Park Elementary School (San Mateo, CA)

Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday 10:00am-7:00pm; Wednesday 9:30am-6:30pm

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Employment Status: Full-Time Salary
  • Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000, depending on experience (DOE)
  • Health Benefits: BGCP covers 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums; 50% for dependents
  • Retirement Benefits: BGCP offers salary contributions to the 401(k) plan

As part of the hiring process, BGCP requires candidates to complete a LiveScan fingerprinting, background check, and tuberculosis (TB) test.
