Marketing Co-op Role
Cummins is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Co-op to support the Aftermarket Product Marketing team within Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems during the summer semester in Florence, KY. The role partners closely with the Senior Product Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to support daily marketing initiatives, digital campaigns, product marketing content, and event coordination. This position offers hands-on experience through meaningful projects, administrative support, and exposure to industry tools while contributing to impactful aftermarket marketing efforts.
Job Description
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive successful execution of promotional programs by providing reliable administrative and operational support to the marketing team.
- Strengthen digital marketing performance by assisting with eblasts and automation initiatives in tools like Knack and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Enhance product visibility by contributing to high-quality brochures, flyers, newsletters, and other key marketing collateral.
- Improve customer and sales team satisfaction through timely fulfillment of marketing requests and a professional service mindset.
- Elevate brand presence at tradeshows, customer events, and meetings by coordinating organized, accurate, and visually effective marketing materials.
- Support informed decision-making by tracking budgets, timelines, and project progress to keep marketing initiatives on schedule.
- Increase overall team efficiency with dependable administrative assistance and willingness to take on special marketing assignments.
- Add creative value to the organization by bringing fresh ideas, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities to ongoing marketing projects.
External Qualifications and Competencies
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with the Sr. Product Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams while responding professionally to sales and customer requests.
- Detail-oriented project and time management abilities to track marketing budgets, timelines, promotional programs, and multiple open projects without missing deadlines.
- Creative and proactive mindset to contribute meaningful ideas and develop engaging product marketing materials such as brochures, eblasts, and digital content.
- Technical and digital marketing readiness with comfort using Microsoft Office, interest in HTML, and willingness to learn tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Knack, and Adobe design software.
- Self-motivation and accountability to manage administrative and special marketing assignments independently while balancing a minimum 20-hour weekly commitment during the co-op.
