Data Scientist - Product at Perplexity

We are hiring for a data scientist to work on our core consumer product. As an early member of the Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our product and company. You will have the chance to contribute to our mission to be the world's most knowledge-centric company by reshaping the future of search and technology. Responsibilities Develop data-driven insights from user behavior to inform our product roadmap and accelerate adoptionCome up with hypotheses and validate them by designing, running, and analyzing A/B testsFigure out the right metrics and visualizations to track and implement them in dashboards, from features to company-wideWork closely with other functions, such as engineering, product, growth, design, and user research.Build tables to make analysis more efficient and make data more accessibleQualifications6-8+ years of experience working as a data scientist or related roleHave worked at a fast-growing company working on consumer and/or growthSQL expertExtensive A/B testing experienceExtensive experience building dashboards using BI tools (ex: Omni, Mode, Hex, Looker or similar tools)Self-starter and take ownership of your work end-to-endComfortable with open-ended problemsSome experience with data modelingPreferred QualificationsExperience with dbtComfortable with PythonExperience with Snowflake (especially as an admin)Experience as one of the first data scientists at an early/growth stage companyData engineering and/or analytics engineering experienceML experienceThe cash compensation range for this role is $200,000 - $300,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity may be part of the total compensation package.Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents.
