Job Title: Scientist Systems EngineeringJob Code: 31711Job Location:Richardson TX or Plano TXJob Description:The Agile Development Group (ADG) specializes in developing disruptive next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV) advanced radar systems next-generation weapon systems and other RF sensor technologies.As a Scientist Systems Engineering you will be responsible for leading multiple product development efforts which include: hardware and software requirements definition decomposition allocation management verification and validation of technical products and systems. You will also be responsible for leading component trade studies system integration and characterization of system performance. You will support technical and cost proposal efforts.Essential Functions:Architect radar systems hardware and software functional and physical design and requirements in synthesizing advanced technology design conceptsSubject matter expert in radar systems engineeringExecute analytical and experimental design trades of radar system architecturesStrong team player capable of collaborating engaging with various engineering (hardware software algorithm programmable logic systems) and support organizations (supply chain operations contracts program management etc.) to ensure best-value program executionViewed as an expert and/or resource in radar systems engineering within the field by peers in and outside the organization.Leads various aspects of radar system design development system integration and test efforts as an integrated project team leadDevelops or champions new systems concepts or technologies.Participates in proposal capture activities both cost and technical in concert with business development counterpartsCapable of leading design verification testing efforts including lab chamber ground and flight testDevelops and runs simulations and other analysis tools to predict system performance in various environmentsLeads and supports engineering troubleshooting activities and root cause investigations as required during program executionDevelops tracks and presents technical performance metricsDevelops mentor and motivate systems engineers and engineering program teams to achieve peak performanceWorks with the program managers to perform dynamic risk assessments and develop execution and risk mitigation strategies for complex projectsFormulates and presents results during internal and external program meetingsRepresents programs as the lead technical interface to customersAbility to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as requiredStrong communication skills (written verbal & presentation)Experience using Microsoft Office productsAbility to lift to 20 lbsUp to 10% travel may be requiredOther duties as requiredQualifications:Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.Active secret security clearance.Experience with radar systems developmentPreferred Additional Skills:Hands on experience in complex radar and weapon system integration engineering testing and system performance characterizationExperience with whole lifecycle radar system development from conceptual design through to productionSystem level design experience in which the applicant has been involved in the design and integration of complex hardware/software systems the definition of multiple interfaces and been involved in the trades of multiple solution optionsExperience with and an understanding of aerospace systems especially in the development of integrated hardware/software productsExperience designing integrating and testing typical payloads like sensors into autonomous weaponsTop secret security clearanceExperience with MATLAB LabView Python or C/C/C#Experience in advanced radar sensor system development for autonomous weapons systemsExperience in proposal capture activities that include customer engagement needs assessments shaping acquisition needs/requirements in collaboration with customers and capture of business against acquisition needsExperience in development of use cases developed from customer objectives and concepts of operationsPeople skills with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary diverse and dynamic team environment#LI-KB1 Key Skills Laboratory Experience,Immunoassays,Machine Learning,Biochemistry,Assays,Research Experience,Spectroscopy,Research & Development,cGMP,Cell Culture,Molecular Biology,Data Analysis Skills Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
