SDET Android System Engineer at FocusKPI

FocusKPI is looking for anSDET Android System Engineer or Android System Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)to join one of our clients a high-tech SaaS company.Work Location:Mountain View CADuration:12-month contract; Hybrid role (4 days per week onsite)Pay Range:$72/hr to $82/hr**No C2C resumes are considered**Role & Responsibilities:Understand the business requirements and develop and execute comprehensive test strategies including functional integration regression and performance testing with a focus on core Android internals APIs lifecycles and instrumentation.Dive deep into design/architecture for Android System Framework Kernel TA alongside requirements to design cases.Build maintainable high-quality and effective automated tests for Knox services.Architect design and implement advanced test automation frameworks specifically for Android systems ensuring broad coverage for different layers.End-to-end testing of a product including automation on Android mobile devices.Conduct performance and benchmark testing for key system metrics including battery life memory usage and boot time. Monitor and track performance regressions.Perform in-depth debugging and analysis of failures using Android tools like ADBlogcat andtombstone. Provide a clear root cause analysis to the development teams.Takes ownership/responsibility for the product quality during monthly releasesCoordinate with program management Developers and QA leads.Help in building an Engineering culture that enables quality in all software features across Knox services.Qualifications:5 years of minimum experience in Android System testing2 Years of experience in Android System/Framework AutomationEducation: Masters in Computer Science or equivalentDeep expertise in low-level Android system validationExpertise in Android system and its layered architecture from the foundation of the Linux kernel to the user-facing applications including Framework and system-level security concepts like ARMs TrustZone.Experience with Android Kernel TrustZone and TEE (Trusted Execution Environment)Expertise with standard Android testing and debugging tools including Android Debug Bridge (ADB) logcat and the Memory Analyzer ToolExtensive coding skills in Java or PythonExcellent understanding of QA processes and methodologies Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in the testing or development of Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or custom Android versions.Familiarity with Android build systems such as Gradle.AI/ML Testing: Experience with validating AI functionality on Android devices and refining AI evaluation datasets. **No C2C resumes are considered**Thank you!FocusKPI Hiring TeamFounded in 2010 FocusKPI Inc.
