Youll gain real-world experience build leadership skills and make lasting memories all while working in one of Maines most beautiful outdoor classrooms.Statement of the Job:As the Assistant Director you will work closely with the Camp Director to manage all aspects of safe camp operations including mentoring staff camp activities scheduling and other daily tasks necessary to keep camp running smoothly. The Assistant Director will assist with opening camp and setting up the site planning and facilitating staff training and staff meetings general daily operations of camp health center coverage and closing camp at the end of the season.Stipend is $5000 to $9600 for the season which can range from 7- 16 weeks including paid training paid in bi-weekly installments.We are not able to consider applicants who require Visa sponsorship support. State of Maine Youth Camp Rule the camp director must be at least 25 years of age. To assist with the 24 hour coverage of camp you must be able to serve as Director on Duty on a rotating basis or as needed.Current Wilderness First Responder and CPR Certifications or willingness to attend trainingPrior supervisory experienceHave a valid drivers license a clean driving record and willingness to drive 12 passenger vans.This camp is licensed by the State of Maine. These programs are designed to inspire outdoor fun practical woods-wise skills and hands-on conservation education. Participants may learn a new outdoor skill or activity that will increase their awareness and understanding of ways that we can live fulfilling lives and make sound choices while doing the things that we enjoy.
