We move fast with precision and always execute with privacy at the forefront.Were looking for an Application Security Engineer to join Snap Inc!What youll do:Conduct in-depth security reviews of applications back-end services and business integrations as well as build tooling for a secure development lifecycleDevelop technical solutions to address security weaknesses and work with relevant stakeholders to implement themBuild systems at scale to prevent classes of vulnerabilitiesAssist with security incident response as neededBe a champion for security and user privacyKnowledge Skills & Abilities:Proven impact in three or more of the following Appsec domains: Application Security Testing (SAST DAST) Vulnerability Assessment Secure Coding Practices Security Architecture DesignProficiency in application security (security assessments finding and mitigating vulnerabilities) and driving the implementation of preventative controls and in partnership with our product teams.Strong software engineering (not scripting or automation) skills in Golang Java or similarAbility to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders whilst prioritizing tasks and work independently under minimal supervision.Minimum qualifications:BS in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field2 years post-Bachelors security related experience; or Masters degree in a technical field 1 year of post-grad security experience; or PhD in relevant technical fieldPassion for learning and helping othersExcellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detailPreferred qualifications:Solid foundation in web security mobile security or cryptographyDemonstrated proficiency in software developmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detailExperience with securing AI/ML systemsIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation please dont be shy and provide us some information.Default Together Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster reinforce our values and serve our community customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA WA NYC):The base salary range for this position is $157000-$235000 annually.Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $149000-$223000 annually.Zone C:The base salary range for this position is $133000-$200000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
