Security Engineer at Northwest Partners

Northwest Partners is seeking a Security Engineer to contribute to a large-scale digital initiative for a top technology organization. This role involves leading the security architecture for critical autonomous driving systems ensuring robust protections for advanced AI robotics and vehicle-to-cloud technologies. What YOU will do Define and lead the security architecture for autonomous driving platforms including perception sensor fusion localization and path planning systems Architect security controls for safety-critical components such as high-performance compute and sensor arrays Lead threat modeling exercises (e.g. STRIDE TARA) targeting complex attack vectors like GPS spoofing and sensor blinding Design secure architecture for vehicle-to-cloud communication OTA updates and high-volume data telemetry using AWS Oversee and provide direction to Managed Security Service Providers including monitoring requirements and service validation Develop and enforce security requirements aligned with standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29 R155 Serve as technical security authority across AI/ML robotics hardware and systems engineering teams What YOU will bring us 8 years of experience in product security including 3 years in autonomous systems robotics or embedded safety-critical systems Proven experience securing domains like perception sensor fusion localization or motion planning Proficiency with AWS security architecture including services like AWS IoT Core SageMaker KMS and VPC Familiarity with automotive systems and protocols (e.g. ECU CAN bus Automotive Ethernet AUTOSAR) Strong knowledge in applied cryptography IAM secure boot and secure development lifecycles Experience with automotive cybersecurity standards particularly ISO/SAE 21434 Declaimer: All candidates will be asked to briefly show a government-issued ID on video during the first interview.
