** SECURITY HIRING EVENT FRIDAY DECEMBER 19 2025 SECURITY OFFICERS ALL SHIFTS****Starting pay $25.00 for entry level increases with Security Level I & II & Crisis Intervention position /benefits plus shift differential ** Focus is Crisis Intervention Specialist.Interviews will take place at:Sand Point Learning Center5801 Sand Point Way N.E.Seattle WA 98105Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.Date: FRIDAY DECEMBER 19 2025Please note we hire for all levels I II NSCC & Crisis Intervention. *Free parking provided. * Please bring your Resumé!!**APPLY ON-LINE PRIOR TO THE EVENT TO RECEIVE A TIME SLOT TO INTERVIEW**THE CRISIS INTERVENTION SPECIALIST: Under the direction of the Security leadership team and guidance of PBMU nursing leadership the Security Specialist is the primary responder for all safety concerns in the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (PBMU) both individually and as part of an interdisciplinary team. This individual interacts with patients experiencing behavioral or mental health crisis to decrease the emotional physical and mental stress levels of a situation using verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques and if necessary utilizing Crisis Prevention Institute physical techniques to bring the patient exhibiting aggressive behavior under control for further therapeutic clinical intervention.The Security Officer is the primary responders for all safety concerns security incidents and service request at facilities owned or occupied by Seattle Childrens in the departments efforts to deter detect prevent respond and document concerns or incidents that risk the safety and well-being of patients families visitors workforce members and property by utilizing appropriate protocols emergency response procedures and/or non-violentcrisis intervention methods.All shifts - Day Nights Evenings plus Weekends. Part-time & on-call all locations. Part-time is benefits eligible**Required Education and Experience - Vary for level of Security RoleLevel I high school or equivalent experience Level II Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field or a combination of 3 years related experience in Security Services or related fieldRequired Education/Experience - Crisis Intervention SpecialistAssociates degree in Criminal Justice or related field with a minimum of one (1) year of related experience in Security Services Public Safety Law Enforcement or related field; or a minimum of three (3) years aforementioned experience may offset the education.Required Credentials - Vary for level of Security RoleBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hireCPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification within 90 days of hire (Annual Requirement)Completion of NCI Autism Training within 12 months of hireCompletion of Seattle Childrens Safe Firearms Training within 12 months of hireSafety Cares Certification within 90 days of hire if required for location (Annual Requirement)Completion of Car Seat Safety Training within 12 months of hire if required for position/roleScore of 80% or above on Seattle Childrens Security Competency Exam in assigned area of the Security Department (Service Call Emergency Department Entrance Surge and Research) within 12 months.PreferredValid Washington State Drivers License with a driving record acceptable to Risk ManagementCompletion of Wheelchair vehicle TrainingInternational Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic CertificationCompensation Range$21.64 - $39.76 per hourSalary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
