Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Security ManagerSUPERVISOR: Director of SecurityCLASSIFICATION: Key EmployeeEXEMPT (Y/N): YesSUMMARY:Under general supervision of the Director of Security, oversees the security shift supervisors and ensures the safety and protection of casino patrons, employees, and assets in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not al/ inclusive.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists in Developing departmental plans, strategies, goals and objectives in accordance with applicable tribal, federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulatiAssists in establishes operational pProcedures for activities such as fire prevention and firefighting, traffic control, guarding and patrolling physical property, orienting and monitoring of personnel involved with classified information and investigation of accidents and criminalAssists in establishing, implementing and communicating goals, objectives, policies and procedures in accordance with applicable tribal, federal, state, and local laws, rules andConfers with Director of Security to formulate policies, determine need for programs and coordinate programs withImproves staff effectiveness by counseling, training and recommending disciplinary action for employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timelyAssists in hosting regular staff meetings to ensure communication between personnel and departmental- relatedAssist in achieving financial objectives by helping to prepare and administer annualAssists in Developing, implementing and evaluating disaster and other emergencyAssists in coordinating the technology needs of the Ensures staff is fully trained on systems, policies and procedures.Contributes to department's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues and goals that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of actions; developing and implementing internal security policies and procedures to the Director ofKeeps the Director of Security informed of status of department activities by attending meetings and submitting reports.Assists in Implementing and participating in staff development and trainingMaintains confidentiality of all privilegedPerforms other duties asSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Casino Security Responsible for assisting in the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this department.Assists the Director of Security with Security Investigations and ensures that all criminal investigations are complete and properlyResponsibilities include proper testing, assisting with interviews, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolvingAuthorized to address any individual not wearing an approved ID badge in non-public areas, or other persons in non-authorized areas.ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS AND INFORMATION:Director of Security's OfficeSecurity Manager/Supervisors OfficeAdministration officeCasino security reportsSurveillance monitor room with approvalSoft Count RoomStorage of drop boxesSlot & PokerOuter door of ATM MachineHR personnel files with HR personnel presentCage/Mainbank areaKEYS:All Casino keysSIGNATORY ABILITY:All Casino Security reportsEmployee related formsPurchase RequisitionsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GEDFive years of security experience with a minimum of least three years of supervisory experience.Casino ExperienceMust be twenty-one {21) years ofValid driver's license and clean drivingNo felony, theft or stealingMust be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gamingTribal preference if minimum qualifications areTRIBAL PREFERENCE POLICY:Members of the Jena Band of Choctaw Tribe shall be given absolute preference with respect to hiring, promotions, training, contracting, and separation from employment.
