To meet the needs of northern Utahs growing population we opened a brand-new 16000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy known as the Weber Campus. The Weber Campus which is convenient for patients in Ogden Roy and other neighborhoods west of I-15 currently offers emergency care radiology mammography and 24/7 laboratory services. Respond rapidly to security emergencies within the hospital or other healthcare settings while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Is responsible for documenting all incidents and requests for assistance within the hospital reporting platform. Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned site. Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and policies when assistance is requested by medical staff/employees. The security officer shall support CommonSpirit Healths strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities. It is expected that the security officer will demonstrate behavior consistent with CommonSpirit Health core value and Humankindness.Job RequirementsIn addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalentSix (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting or Law enforcement or military service; or One (1) year experience as a security officer.License/Certifications:BLS-CPR from American Heart Association within 90 daysInternational Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) Basic course within 90 days of employment. *If at any time facility obtains a company vehicle/golf cart and requires the position to operate a motor vehicle; guard will require AUTO:CA and DRVDMV within 30 days*Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Familiar with duties and responsibility of being a security officerAble to properly use assigned equipment and follow established policies and proceduresCompletes ICS 100HCb 200b & 700a training courses within 90 days of hireMaintain all other required training/certifications thereafter while employed by CommonSpirit HealthMust be able to speak English communicate clearly orally and in writingMedium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Required Experience:Unclear Seniority Key Skills CCTV,Customer Service,Communication skills,Computer Skills,ICD Coding,Military Experience,Law Enforcement,NIST Standards,Security,DoD Experience,RMF,Writing Skills Employment Type : Unclear Department / Functional Area: Security Experience: years Vacancy: 1
