Job Title: Security Solutions Lead Engineer Location: Newark Delaware Experience Required: 12 Years Employment Type: Contract Interview Type: In-Person or Webcam Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Security Solutions Lead Engineer who can design implement and oversee advanced security architectures for enterprise environments. This role requires someone who can provide technical leadership guide teams evaluate new technologies and ensure that security controls are aligned with business and compliance needs. You will be responsible for end-to-end solution design technical oversight and driving best practices across security engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities Security Architecture & Design Develop and maintain enterprise-level security architecture and solution designs. Lead the evaluation and integration of new security technologies tools and platforms. Ensure security frameworks standards and guidelines are properly implemented across systems. Define secure design patterns reference architectures and reusable solution components. Security Engineering & Implementation Oversee the implementation of security controls across infrastructure cloud network and applications. Provide hands-on support in configuring and deploying security tools when needed. Conduct deep technical assessments of solutions platforms and existing environments. Collaborate with infrastructure cloud and application teams to embed security early in the lifecycle. Risk Management & Compliance Identify potential security risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements such as NIST ISO SOX HIPAA or organizational policies. Support audits assessments and documentation requirements for compliance initiatives. Leadership & Collaboration Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level security engineers. Present technical recommendations system designs and risk findings to leadership and stakeholders. Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT operations cloud engineering network teams and development teams. Drive continuous improvement in security processes tools and engineering standards. Required Skills and Experience Minimum 12 years of experience in security engineering solution design or security architecture roles. Strong background in designing and implementing enterprise security solutions across cloud network and application environments. Experience with cloud security frameworks for AWS Azure or Google Cloud. Extensive understanding of firewalls IDS/IPS SIEM solutions endpoint security identity and access management PAM and encryption technologies. Hands-on experience with tools such as Splunk Sentinel CrowdStrike Palo Alto Zscaler Check Point or equivalent. Strong understanding of security standards including NIST CSF ISO 27001 CIS Benchmarks Zero Trust principles and secure SDLC. Ability to perform architectural reviews threat modeling and deep technical risk assessments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience leading engineering initiatives and coordinating across multiple teams. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications such as CISSP CISM CCSP CEH GSEC or related credentials. Experience working in regulated industries such as finance healthcare or government. Prior involvement in large-scale transformation or cloud migration programs.
