We are a growing hotel management and development company with a portfolio of 14 hotel properties and an active development pipeline. Our organization partners with leading hospitality brands and ownership groups to operate high-performing hotels while continuing to expand through new development and acquisitions.
We are seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for our portfolio while supporting the company's continued growth.
Position Overview
The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and financial reporting for the company and its portfolio of hotel properties. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial controls, maintains strong internal controls, and provides financial leadership to support operational and strategic decisions. Eventually, will be involved with financial reporting.
The Corporate Controller works closely with corporate leadership, hotel General Managers, and ownership groups to ensure consistent financial reporting, operational accountability, and compliance across all properties.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversight
Oversee internal controls, cash management and daily processesInvolved with the month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.Becoming involved with Financial Reporting
Portfolio Financial Management
Provide financial oversight for a 14-property hotel portfolio, ensuring consistency in accounting practices and reporting standards.Work closely with property leadership to review financial performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.Ensure timely and accurate reporting to ownership groups, brand partners, and corporate leadership.Leadership & Team Management
Lead and develop the corporate accounting team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting functions.Establish clear procedures, reporting timelines, and internal processes.Foster strong collaboration between corporate finance and property operations.Internal Controls, Compliance & Audit
Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.Ensure adherence to brand reporting requirements and ownership agreements.Operational & Strategic Support
Provide financial analysis and reporting to support corporate strategy.Lead initiatives to improve financial systems, reporting tools, and accounting processes.Participate in special projects and operational improvement initiatives.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field requiredSome accounting experience, ideally within hospitality, real estate, or multi-unit operationsStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with multi-entity financial reportingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
Preferred Experience
Hospitality or hotel management company accounting experienceMulti-property financial oversightExperience working with hotel ownership groups and brand reporting requirementsExperience supporting new hotel development or acquisitionsKey Competencies:
