Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for an energy-related client in Houston, TX. · Base up to $90k DOE plus 10% bonus opportunity and benefits· 4 days per week in office (West Houston) / 1day WFH Essential Job Functions:The Senior Accountant role includes general accounting responsibilities such as financial statements, general ledger, bank reconciliation, as well as supporting financial reports. The Staff Accountants responsibilities include:Reconcile balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounts.Analyzing current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, and expensesMonitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing causes of unexpected variancesAssisting in the preparation of quarterly and monthly financial reports, as well as presentations to the Senior Management TeamHelping develop a systems and processes-oriented culture by walking through and documenting key processes and procedures, and training other members of the Finance team to do the sameSupporting Senior Management Team and departments across the Company with in-depth analysis as needed QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years experienceExperience in a manufacturing environment preferredExperienced in GL, financial reporting, reconciiations and variance analysis requiredCPA a plusStrong ERP and MS Excel skills required
