Senior Administrative Specialist Location: Birmingham AL Contract- 3 Years Client - Alabama Power Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Administrative Support Specialist with over 11 years of experience providing expert-level administrative support and leadership. This position plays a key role in ensuring seamless operations supporting leadership teams and enhancing overall organizational efficiency through proactive coordination effective communication and advanced technical proficiency. Key Responsibilities Provide expert-level administrative support and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations. Independently manage calendars schedules and appointments for multiple team members prioritizing critical tasks. Lead the coordination and organization of high-profile meetings conferences and events including all logistics agendas and follow-up actions. Prepare edit and review complex documents reports presentations and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Conduct research and data analysis compiling comprehensive reports to support strategic decision-making. Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism. Oversee budget management expense tracking and financial reporting ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders providing exceptional communication and interpersonal support. Collaborate across departments to streamline administrative processes and improve operational efficiency. Experience: Minimum 10 12 years of progressive administrative experience. Experience supporting executive or senior management in a corporate or utility environment strongly preferred. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and related business software. Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. High level of professionalism and attention to detail. Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Preferred Attributes Proven ability to coordinate complex administrative projects. Demonstrated experience managing budgets reports and process documentation. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
