DescriptionAs a Senior Advanced Systems Engr here at Honeywell you will lead a team of systems engineers in designing developing and delivering advanced systems driving innovation safety and efficiency. Work on cutting-edge projects and shape future technology solutions. You will report directly to our Director of Engineering and youll work out of our Redmond WA location on an On-site work schedule.In this role you will support and deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the worlds most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywells next generation (product) by designing testing and validating products/processes from prototype to market.You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. Help to build a strong diverse team by recruiting talent identifying and developing successors driving retention and engagement and fostering an inclusive culture.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supporting numeric evaluation of product design integration and qualification activities for new inertial navigation products for internal R&D and customer funded programsCalibration of inertial sensors and inertial systemsEvaluation of sensor & system performance ex: reading and understanding Root Alan Variance (RAV)Support trade studies and issue resolution (e.g. FMEA RCCA) activitiesPrepare technical documentation for review by senior technical staffCommunicate technical status to manager senior technical staff and external customersSupport the needs of internal stakeholdersContribute to design team meetings (SRR PDR TRR CDR FCA/PCA TIMs)Support customer flow-down requirement analysis feasibility assessment technical solution developmentSupport system documents development including but not limited to system-level requirements Interface Control Document Hardware Requirements Specification Performance Verification Test Plan Procedure Certification documentsSupportproposal efforts including development of BOEsPerform simulations data analysis define test procedures and review results to determine compliance requirementsQualificationsYOU MUST HAVEBachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics5 years of experience in systems engineering and engineering managementMastery of knowledge in systems integration implementation and troubleshooting with a thorough understanding of multiple workstreams2 years experiencewith inertial instruments3 years professional experience or 2 years with advanced degree in engineering/scienceMust have ability to obtain a secret clearanceWE VALUEMasters or PhDAdvanced Engineering degrees like EE (Electrical Engineering) ME (Mechanical Engineering)Demonstrated experience with test system integration for high precision inertial sensors/IMUDemonstrated experience with inertial sensor/IMU requirements and associated qualification proceduresExperience with numerical data analysis regression and curve fittingExperience with Matlab Creo SolidWorks and MathCADFamiliar with Six Sigma Methods with Black Belt training preferredExperience in leading complex system integration projectsKnowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologiesAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentPassion for innovation and continuous learningAttention to detailExcellent problem-solving capabilityDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations candidate must be a U.S. Person which is defined as a U.S. citizen a U.S. permanent resident or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.The annual base salary range for this position is $120000 - $149000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
