Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine industry sales, with proven experience promoting and selling shipbuilding and fabrication services, refit and repair programs, and related aluminum marine products. This role is based on our New Orleans area shipyard and requires close interaction with commercial, governmental, and industrial clients across the Gulf Coast and beyond. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sales strategies to promote Aluma Marine’s products and services, including:New vessel construction (workboats, tugboats, passenger vessels, patrol/military boats, etc.) Refit, repair, and maintenance service. Custom aluminum marine fabrication projectsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial, industrial, and marine defense sectors.Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, shipowners, operators, and government entities.Collaborate with the management and engineering teams to prepare technical proposals, quotations, and bid submissions.Represent Aluma Marine at trade shows, marine expos, and industry events.Monitor market trends, competitors, and client needs to provide insights and recommendations for business growth.Achieve defined sales targets and report regularly on progress and performance. QualificationsMinimum 10 years of proven sales experience in the commercial marine sector.Strong knowledge of shipbuilding, vessel maintenance, refit, and marine fabrication services.Established network within the maritime industry preferred.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to read and understand technical documentation and vessel specifications.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems.Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.Company DescriptionAluma Marine is a growing aluminum boatbuilder and fabrication yard serving commercial, government, and industrial clients nationwide.
