The Corporate TaxSeniorAnalystwill report to the Corporate TaxSeniorManager and has responsibility for preparationand reviewof Cresco Labs and its subsidiariesfederal and stateincome tax returnstax provisioncalculationsand disclosures for its quarterly and annual public filing requirements.The Corporate TaxSeniorAnalystwill alsoprepareand improve processes for taxworkpapers participate in tax integration for new businesses and acquisitions as well as assist with special projects as needed.Our ideal candidate must be a self-starterwith strong analytical skillswho is highly organized with great attention to detail.CORE JOB DUTIESPrepareand reviewthe quarterly and annual tax provisionTax provisionPrepareand reviewthe calculation of federal tax expense reconciliation of tax account balances prepare tax basis balance sheet adjustmentsMaintain inventory of deferred tax assetsPrepare quarterly tax accounting journal entries including domestic return-to-accrual analyses and financial statement impact of audit settlementsPrepareglobal uncertain tax position documentation processes working in conjunction with advisors on legal and regulatory changesWork closely with corporate accounting team to ensure proper tax reportingPrepare schedules used in monthly quarterly and annual reporting for both internal and external reporting purposesTax compliance preparationresearchand planningPrepare workpapers schedules calculations and other items related to federaland statetax return filings as well as estimated tax payments extensionpaymentsand tax sharing settlementsReview annual US federalstateand local and foreign income tax return filingsPrepare andassistwith research on various complex tax issues todeterminetheappropriate taxtreatment and related tax reportingSupport IRS exam process administration and drafting of responses to tax notices and preparation and filing of amended federal tax returnsWork closely with Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis groups on tax forecastingPrepareand reviewwritten memorandums for review by the Corporate TaxSeniorManagerProcesses and controlsAssistin the implementation of new tax technology initiatives includingincometax and provision preparation softwareBuild andmaintaintax internal controls for returnsandprovisionsAssistwith tax integration for new businesses and acquisitionsHelp drive the continuous improvement of processes and procedures as the company expands in both new andestablishedmarketsAssistwith special projects both within and outsidethetax provision process including legal entity restructuring and rationalizationWork cross functionally with company departments and external partnersREQUIRED EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND SKILLSBachelors degree in accountingor business degree with accounting concentrationAdvanced Degree preferred: MSTMAccor LLMCPAlicense orareworking towards obtaining a CPA license2 years accounting experience (public accounting or relevant corporate tax experience) including at leastoneyearofcore federal taxcomplianceand tax provision experience (ASC 740/IAS 12)OneSource Tax Provision experience preferredExperience in manufacturing organization preferredAbility to research complex tax issues work within a team environment to resolve such issues and communicate results in a clear/timelymannerStrong interpersonal skills and consistent follow through on assigned tasksExperience with financial accounting systems (Intacct and SAP helpful)Advancedproficiencyin MS Excel and MS OfficeAbility to work independently in a highly organized mannerBENEFITSCresco Labs is proud to offer eligible employees a robust offering of benefits including major medical dental and vision insurance a 401(K)-match program FSA/HSA programs LTD/STD options life insurance and AD&D.
