Working cross-functionally across the company you will be responsible for efforts related to security and privacy including analysis reporting and strategy development. This position will facilitate the implementation of best practices insight into spam and abuse patterns opportunities for research and development of abuse prevention strategies and optimization of existing processes. Youll collaborate with Customer Operations Engineering and our Product teams to help keep Snapchatters safe and limit the opportunity for abuse on the platform.What youll do:Perform analysis on existing and newly emerging abuse trends including sampling support inquiries to understand the experience and impact to the Snapchat CommunityIdentify behavior patterns of malicious actors to understand motive tactics and beyondWork cross-functionally to enhance and develop ways to identify and surface abusive behaviorDesign execute and document Adversarial Safety Testing (Red-Teaming) scenarios; consolidate results and present findings risks and recommended remediations to cross-functional partnersEmploy project management principles to ensure identified safety and integrity issues are tracked prioritized and driven to resolution with engineering and product teamsIdentify automation opportunities both in the product and support experience to ascertain and mitigate riskEnhance operational workflows via process improvementsUse data to influence decisions and give voice to user-impacting issuesAnticipate abuse risks provide escalation management negotiate with decision makers and balance business needs versus technical constraintsWork closely with Quality Assurance Product and Engineering teams providing them with timely metrics and analysis investigating potential account access issues and following up with Snapchatters as neededResearch industry trendsKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient data and quantitative analysis skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal oversightAbility to create visuals dashboards and reports to effectively communicate your insightsGreat judgment and ability to problem-solve both independently and with peersFlexibility to adapt to constantly changing business needsDemonstrated project management skills specifically for tracking and driving technical and operational remediation efforts for identified issuesExperience creating and participating in Adversarial Safety Testing with a focus on reputational risk and regulatory complianceMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience3 years of relevant work experience2 years of experience with SQL and building data pipelines to identify trendsExperience analyzing data to make data-driven decisionsExperience with Looker Tableau Power Blocker BI or other similar programsExperience managing multiple projects end to endExperience with JIRA or similar issue tracking softwareExperience creating and executing adversarial safety testing programs for online platformsPreferred Qualifications:Experience investigating spam or other types of abuse is a huge plus!Ability to write advanced SQL queriesData driven with proven track record managing data sets and reporting to inform decision makingExperience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the companyDeveloped perspective on prominent trends and issues in the online safety worldIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation please dont be shy and provide us some information.Default Together Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster reinforce our values and serve our community customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
