Senior Associate Capital Markets & RiskTreasury is seekinga Senior Associate who is highly dependable intellectually curious and can handle pressure to be a key member of Corporate TreasurysCollateral Management team. Collateral Management is responsible for posting/collecting collateral to support several types of programs and transactions such as Derivatives (Uncleared and Cleared) Capital Market transactions Collateralization of certain funding facilities and specific client deposit programs. The ideal candidate will possess a risk mindset and has experience in Capital Markets Operations Swap Dealer Requirements Compliance or Audit.ResponsibilitiesManage the calculation collection and posting of variation and initial margin / independent amount for derivative transactions in the Collateral Management SystemEnsures collateral posted to Capital One by counterparties is maintained in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and legal agreement terms including appropriate segregation if applicableMonitors the internal initial margin threshold with each counterparty to ensure we establish swap documentation timelyIdentifies margin discrepancies manages valuation dispute process and related reporting.Recommend and implement process changes to improve operational efficiency and decrease risksDeveloping and maintaining productive relationships with key internal and external partnersSupport all corporate collateral management programs and daily monthly and quarterly reporting in accordance with internal controls and policiesPerforms reconciliation of collateral custody accountsSupport Internal/External Audit requestsSupport ad hoc project-related initiativesBasic QualificationsBachelors Degree or Military experienceAt least 2 years of experience in Audit OR Accounting OR Finance OR Capital Markets OR Treasury OR a combinationPreferred Qualifications3 years of experience in Capital Markets or Capital Markets ComplianceExperience using G-Suite productsExperience coding experience (Python SQL etc.)Experience demonstrating an understanding of derivatives and mortgage-backed securitiesStrong communication and analytical skillsExperience creating presentations and explaining complex information to different audiencesAt this time Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location.
