Job Title: Senior Associate Category ManagementJob Code: 31602Job Location: Huntsville AL Camden AR Canoga Park CA or Orange County VAJob Schedule: 9/80:Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday offJob Description:Candidate will assist in the execution of sourcing strategies within specific commodity focus area to identify new sources of supply on-board and develop new suppliers and manage projects to ensure qualification of suppliers to meet Defense manufacturing requirements. Candidate will need to have acquisition/supply chain knowledge with skills in project management and organizational skills to manage multiple project tasking. Candidate will collaborate with multiple cross-functional personnel customers and the suppliers to ensure successful development of new sources of supply.Essential Functions:Support and assist the commodity management team in overseeing obsolescence management and tracking of critical materials impacting the production & development programs.Support and assist the commodity management team in monitoring IR&D projects for new material/product insertion.Coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g. procurement engineering quality operations) to achieve project goalsGenerate obsolescence management and/or IR&D reporting status.Track project progress identify potential risks or delays and validate appropriate risk mitigation strategies.Where applicable manage IFRs or budgets associated with capacity projectsGenerate project out brief reports for leadershipTravel 25% to supplier locations (could be some international travel as needed)Qualifications:Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior category management experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior category management lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior category management experience.Preferred Additional Skills:Security Clearance would be preferred but not necessary.Master degree or focus in supply chain preferred.Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Office products as well as MRP/ERP system knowledgeStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-task project actionsCommunication skills to lead meetings and develop presentation packages and business case analysis for review with business leadersIn compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C Denver or NYC areas is $61500 - $114500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state Cleveland Ohio and Vermont is $54000 - $100000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
