Piper Jordan is seeking a Senior Associate, Health & Benefits to join our growing team in San Diego, CA or Las Vegas, NV.
The Senior Associate, Health & Benefits will lead consulting engagements with mid-size and large employers. Primary responsibilities will revolve around driving business results through retaining clients and managing day-to-day client activities. By taking accountability and leading consulting projects, the Senior Associate will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional consulting services that are delivered accurately and timely. Dedication and a proactive approach will be essential in maintaining effective internal relationships and driving positive results.
How You Will Contribute
$135,000 - $175,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.

How You Will Contribute
- Oversee and provide day-to-day support for mid to large client relationships
- Drive strategy and grow client relationships
- Collaborate with client teams to evaluate client requirements and facilitate the implementation of benefit program strategies
- Manage complex projects, teams and client deliverables. Guide client teams to smoothly manage daily responsibilities, executing tasks effectively
- Support and/or lead the development of multi-year strategic plans incorporating client’s specific business needs and objectives
- Develop relationships across internal, client and vendor organizations
- Support business development of prospective client opportunities
- Partner with the broader consulting team and specialists to deliver on consulting projects
- Advise clients on analysis options, potential solution and alternatives
- Prepare for and facilitate client meetings including documentation of notes, follow-up items and deliverables
- BA/BS degree, or equivalent combination of education and training
- Minimum of 6 years of employee benefits consulting experience
- Ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives
- Ability to work effectively on a team and independently under general supervision
- In depth knowledge of health and welfare plans including design, financials, underwriting, vendors and solutions
- Experience peer reviewing data and analysis
- Ability to manage complex projects, working with large teams
- Strong client facing and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong analytics, math and financial skills
- Flexibility to travel for client and internal meetings
- Master’s degree in related field (Preferred)
