ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – SENIORINSURANCE COVERAGE PRACTICE Locations: New York, NY | Morristown, NJHYBRID Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage Practice Group. This team represents domestic and international insurers in high-exposure, multi-jurisdictional matters involving pollution, toxic tort, asbestos, construction defect, products liability, errors and omissions, excess liability, and other complex coverage disputes. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable leading major components of litigation, and is seeking an opportunity for meaningful responsibility and professional growth. Candidate ProfileJD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic recordActive Bar Admission in New York, in good standing, with the ability to practice in all NY courtsNew Jersey bar admission (in ADDITION to NY) is preferred5+ years of substantive experience with insurance coverage litigationExperience handling product liability-related coverage matters strongly preferredExtensive deposition experience and familiarity with examinations of key witnessesDemonstrated ability to manage matters in both state and federal courtsProven history of drafting detailed coverage analyses and providing strategic recommendations to insurer clientsLeadership capability to supervise associates and paralegals effectivelyExceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring abilitiesAbility to handle sensitive matters and maintain discretionHighly organized, with the ability to manage multiple fast-moving matters simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to identify, anticipate, and resolve issues efficiently Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute litigation strategies for complex insurance coverage disputes and class actionsConduct sophisticated legal research and draft detailed legal memorandaAnalyze insurance policies and claims, and prepare comprehensive coverage evaluations and recommendationsTake and defend depositionsDraft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, interrogatories, and other litigation documentsAttend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferencesDraft litigation correspondence and manage communication with opposing counsel, clients, and courtsSupervise associates, paralegals, and litigation support teamsManage multiple matters with substantial independence and strategic judgment Why Join Us?This outstanding opportunity provides a platform to work on some of the most challenging and high-profile insurance coverage matters in the country.
