In this role, you will combine technicalexpertisewith strategic oversight to develop, standardize, and implement scalable solutions across our global data center portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams todesignsecure,reliable, and efficient systems thatdemocratize data andenabledigitaltransformation.You will alsobe responsible forestablishingand maintaining global standards, promoting best practices, and driving continuous improvement.Essential Job FunctionsCollaborate withcross-functional teams including design, engineering,IT,cybersecurity,operations, and sustainabilityto develop, implement, andoptimizeindustrialautomationdesigns andstandardsacross Vantage's global data center product line.Build relationships withregionalpeers and internal customers to understand their needs, discover opportunities,develop solutions,solicitfeedback, capturelessons learned, andfacilitatethetransferof knowledge globally.ProvideindustrialIoTexpertiseand guidance across all regions and organizational levels.Developandmaintainautomation standards such as telemetry requirements,IIoTdevice specifications,MQTTbroker specifications, pub/sub architectures,UNSspecifications, etc.Createsecure,robust,scalable, and cost-effectivetelemetrysolutionsthatmeet internal and external customer requirements.Lead the development ofsystems thatoptimizedataintegrity, availability,andthroughputto enableadvanced technologies such as machine learning, AI operators,anddigital twins.Contribute to QA/QC standardizationto enhance quality product turnover.Partner with regional teams to takenew technologiesand designs from concept to first-of-kind deployment.Craft business cases for research and development opportunities including cost, schedule, performance, and testing requirements.Provide leadershipand training toteam members, contractors, and consultants.Job RequirementsDeep understanding ofIndustry 4.0technologiesand conceptssuch asMQTT, OPC-UA,real-time telemetry,unifiednamespaces,IIoTdevices,virtualization,Inductive Automation Ignition,etc.Knowledge of industry standards, includingISA-95,thePurdue model, andISA/IEC 62443.Experienceauthoringautomation design standards, specifications, andrequirements.Knowledge of operational technology (OT) networktopologiesand protocols, such as device level ring (DLR) and resilient ethernet protocol (REP).Experience withbig data telemetry, analytics, and infrastructure monitoring.Experience withIIoTdatabases(ex.SQL, NoSQL,time-series)andscripting languages (ex.Python, JavaScript)Experienceselecting, managing, and collaborating with external vendors, contractors, and consultants.5+years ofindustrialautomationexperiencewithin missioncriticalenvironmentsrequired.BachelorofScience degree inengineering,computerscience, or equivalentis desirable but notrequired.Travel is expected to be15%but mayincrease over timeas the businessevolves.This position is open to remote candidates.The expected salary range for this role is $150,000-160,000 per year.
