Senior Backend Engineer - Go (USA) at Droneshield

About the roleThe company is seeking a Senior Back End Software Developer with relevant experience to join the development team in Warrenton, Virginia. The role is primarily focused on the development & integration of DroneShield C2 products for US Customers and Partners. Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations Contribute to the development of our C2 product to meet the demanding operational requirements in real-world deployments aligned to the long-term product vision Build features and improvements from conceptualisation to realisation working closely with the global software engineering team Implementation of integrations with US-based sensors, effectors, BMS platforms, and enterprise and DoD customer environments, in close collaboration with the global C2 architecture team. Take operational responsibility for the services and code base that you will develop Qualifications, Experience and Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience More than 5 years’ experience in software development Experience developing with Golang, or relevant typed languages (C++/Rust) Experience with gRPC is ideal Experience working with two or more from the following: distributed and parallel systems, Unix/Linux environments, web application development , developing large software systems, and/or security software development Experience developing microservices infrastructure is ideal Previous ‘start-up’ or ‘scale-up’ experience is favourable You are a lifelong learner. You’re self-taught and continuously learning.
